Yaacov Agam (b. 1928) is an Israeli artist who is best known for his pioneering work in the field of Kinetic art.  Agam studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem before moving to Switzerland to continue his education at the Kunstgewerbe Schule in Zurich.  Agam's work is characterized by its dynamic and interactive nature, as well as its use of light, color, and movement. He is particularly known for his use of optical illusions and for his ability to create works that change in appearance depending on the viewer's position.

Some of Agam's most famous works include the "Fire and Water Fountain" in Tel Aviv, the "Star of Redemption" in the Knesset building in Jerusalem, and the "Peaceful Communication" sculpture in the United Nations headquarters in New York. His works can be found in museums and public spaces around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Tate Modern in London.  Agam's work commands the highest prices of any Israeli artist.

XXe Siècle (Chroniques du Jour) was a deluxe art revue that published many outstanding prints.  It was published by Gualtieri di San Lazzaro from 1938-1939, and again from 1951 until 1978, with its artwork printed by the finest printers, such as Atelier Mourlot.  Many important artists contributed original prints, including Miro, Picasso, Chagall, Braque, Villon, Matta, Indiana, Rosenquist, Lam, Dali, Matisse, Delaunay, Ernst, Poliakoff, Soulages, Leger, Moore, Kandinsky, Arp, Calder, Magnelli, Baj, Marini, Vasarely, Zao Wou-ki, and Agam.
