We were fortunate to acquire a number of new old stock lithograph art posters. These posters are not reproductions or offset lithographs.  They are original first edition, true lithograph posters, and very collectible works of art.  This poster is one of these acquisitions, printed in 1978 by renowned Imprimerie ARTE in Paris for an exhibition of Bury's work at Galerie Maeght.  Poster size: 30 x 15 1/2 inches.  Mint condition new old stock.
 
Pol Bury (1922-2005), was a Belgian artist known for his contributions to the Kinetic art movement.  Born in Haine-Saint-Pierre, Belgium, Bury initially trained as a jewelry maker before turning to sculpture and exploring the possibilities of movement in his artworks.  Bury's work often incorporated mechanical or motorized elements that created subtle and mesmerizing movements. He was interested in exploring the concept of time and the relationship between art and the viewer's perception.  His use of carefully calculated movements and precise constructions aimed to challenge the traditional static nature of art, inviting viewers to engage with the work in an active and interactive manner. Bury's artworks ranged from smaller, intricate pieces to larger-scale public installations, and he also experimented with other mediums such as painting and printmaking.  Throughout his career, Pol Bury exhibited his work internationally and received recognition for his innovative contributions to the field of Kinetic art. His sculptures and installations can be found in various museums, public spaces, and private collections around the world.  His kinetic sculptures and installations continue to captivate viewers with their dynamic nature.
