Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973) was a Spanish-born painter, sculptor, and printmaker who spent most of his adult life in France.  He is considered to be one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, best known for, along with Georges Braque, founding the Cubist movement.  In addition to Cubism, he also executed works in Neoclassicism and Surrealism.  His early works are famously known as the "Blue Period" and Rose Period.  Picasso's works often reflected his Communist political views.  He was a lifelong aficionado of Bullfighting, and in his exceptionally prolific career created many paintings, prints and sculptures devoted to the subject.
