  • Magnificent hand colored pochoir "Cabaret du Lapin Agile" from "Le Village Inspiré. Chronique de la Bohème de Montmartre (1920-1950)" (The Inspired Village, Chronicle of the Bohemian Life in Montmartre), a limited edition (490 examples, plus HC and EA) portfolio of prints after earlier works by Maurice Utrillo, depicting "Bohemian" life in the famed Montmartre district of Paris.  Printed on Arches paper and published by Jean Vertex in 1950.  The historic Cabaret du Lapin Agile is extant, and this print is one of the most sought after from the portfolio.  Print size: 12 1/2 x 10 inches; sheet size: 15 x 11 inches.  Mint condition, with vibrant colors.

    Maurice Utrillo (1883-1955), was a French painter who was best known for his depictions of the houses and streets of the Montmartre district of Paris, and is one of the few famous painters of Montmartre who was born there.
